Quick verdict
Here's the short version. The 70mai A510 is the strongest all round pick, with a 4.4 rating, a 3K front and 1080p rear camera, built in GPS and a 2 inch screen. If you want the sharpest front video, the REDTIGER F7NP records 4K at the front, has the widest view here at 170 degrees and a supercapacitor built for heat. The Qubo Dashcam Pro X is the one most buyers chose, ranked first in its category, though it has the lowest rating of the six. The DDPAI Mini Pro is the cheapest, the Blaupunkt DC 4050 is the cheapest with a rear camera in the box, and the 70mai M200 is a small 1080p camera with a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor. Check the heat notes below if your car sits in the sun.
A dash cam records the road while you drive, and the file it saves matters most on the one day something goes wrong. On Amazon.in, most listings look alike, with the same wide angle photos and night vision claims. The numbers that separate them are the video resolution, whether a rear camera comes in the box, the field of view, the largest memory card supported, what powers the camera when the engine stops, and the warranty.
This guide lines up six dash cams from 70mai, REDTIGER, Qubo, DDPAI and Blaupunkt. We opened each Amazon.in product page and copied down the price, the rating, the number of ratings, the seller rank and those specifications. Where a listing says two different things about itself, we flag it rather than picking one.
Heat is a real issue for any camera stuck to an Indian windscreen. Three of the six listings describe a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, and three state a working temperature. We call that out for each camera.

How to choose
Do you need a rear camera?
A front camera records what happens ahead of you. A rear camera also records the car behind, which matters in a rear end collision. Three kits here include one: the 70mai A510, the REDTIGER F7NP and the Blaupunkt DC 4050. The other three record the front only, though the Qubo and DDPAI can rotate to face the cabin.
How hot does your car get?
A dash cam sits behind the windscreen, often in direct sun. Three listings here describe a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery: the Qubo states up to 85°C, the REDTIGER states up to 70°C, and the DDPAI names one in its title. The Blaupunkt states a working range up to 70°C without naming its power backup. The two 70mai models list a lithium ion battery and state no working temperature. If your car parks in the open through summer, weigh that.
How sharp does the video need to be?
Resolution decides how readable a number plate is in the saved clip. The REDTIGER records 4K at the front, the 70mai A510 records 3K, and the Qubo, DDPAI and Blaupunkt record 2K. The 70mai M200 records 1080p, the lowest here. Higher resolution files are larger, so they also fill a memory card faster.
Do you want parking mode?
Parking mode keeps recording, or wakes up on a bump, while the car is off. Several listings here describe it. The Blaupunkt listing says it needs a hardwire kit connected to the car, and the 70mai M200 title calls it optional. If you don't plan to hardwire, ask the seller whether parking mode works without it.
Budget for a memory card
A dash cam records onto a microSD card, and most listings here don't include one. Check the largest card each camera supports, from 128 GB on the 70mai M200 to 512 GB on the REDTIGER. A larger card holds more hours before the camera loops back and records over the oldest clips.

3. Qubo Dashcam Pro X: most bought
₹3,490
3.9 out of 5 on Amazon.in (4,544 ratings)
₹3,490 (as of 27 Sep 2026, 22:01 IST)
The Qubo Dashcam Pro X ranked first in Car On-Dash Video on the day we checked, and it has the most ratings in this comparison, at more than 4,500. Its 3.9 rating is the lowest of the six, which is worth weighing against that popularity.
The listing describes a front camera that records 2K at 30 frames per second with a 3 MP sensor, and a 360 degree rotating mount so it can face the cabin. It runs on a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, and the listing states a working range of minus 20°C to 85°C, the widest heat range here. It has Wi-Fi with the Qubo Pro app.

4.2 out of 5 on Amazon.in (314 ratings)
₹5,791 (as of 27 Sep 2026, 22:01 IST)
If you want a rear camera without paying 70mai or REDTIGER prices, the Blaupunkt DC 4050 is the cheapest kit here that includes one. The listing names a dash camera, a rear camera and a charger in the box, and the title describes the charger as dual port. It carries a 4.2 rating, though from a small group of about 300 buyers.
The listing describes a 2K front camera and a 1080p rear camera with a 140 degree view, Wi-Fi with a phone app, a G-sensor, a built in microphone and speaker, and H.265 coding for smaller files. It weighs 59 grams, the lightest here.

How we compared
We opened each Amazon.in product page on 27 Sep 2026, 22:01 IST and copied down the price, the rating, the number of ratings, the seller rank, the video resolution, the rear camera, the field of view, the largest card supported, the power backup, any stated working temperature and the warranty. Where a listing said two different things about itself, we show both or flag it, rather than picking one for you.
We have not handled these cameras ourselves, and this page doesn't claim otherwise. It compares what the listings, the ratings and the specifications say, side by side. Sensor names and temperature limits above are the brands' own claims from their listings, not our measurements. Our other buying guides follow the same method.
Questions people ask
Which dash cam is best for Indian summers?
Look for a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, and a stated working temperature. The Qubo Dashcam Pro X states up to 85°C and the REDTIGER F7NP states up to 70°C. The two 70mai models here list lithium batteries and state no limit.
Do dash cams come with a memory card?
Most in this group don't. The REDTIGER title says the SD card is not included, and the Blaupunkt box lists a camera, a rear camera and a charger only. Budget for a card within the size each camera supports.
Can a dash cam record while the car is parked?
Several can, using a parking mode. The Blaupunkt DC 4050 listing says its parking mode needs a hardwire kit wired to the car. Without a steady power source, most cameras stop recording soon after the engine stops.
What else is worth keeping in the car?
A portable tyre inflator is a common pairing for long drives. Our car tyre inflator comparison lines up the options. For charging phones on the road, see our fast charger guide.
